District Institute of Education and Training, Vadodara
This compact city spread in the area of 108 sq kms. is inhabited by 1.5 million people. it is aptly called, very often, Sayajinagari named after H.E.Maharaja sayajirao III in the name of baroda collage.
It later on got the status of the residential university in 1949. It was the capital of one of the most powerful princely state prior to independence and is a pleasant, medium sized city with some interesting museums and art galleries and a fine park. It is also known as the city of Arches, Domes, Colourful Gardens Fountains, Supreme Education and ever increasing Industries.
Although it is main industrial city in Gujarat, it still shows a legacy of the Gaekwads, who once ruled in Vadadora and made it into their own capital and gave the city a second name, Baroda, which is still occasionally used these days
